Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you create an account, we store the information provided through your authentication provider (Clerk): your name, email address, and a unique user identifier. When you create reminders, we store the reminder text, recipient email addresses, phone numbers (if SMS is enabled), webhook URLs, scheduling configuration, and delivery logs.

How we use your data

Your data is used exclusively to provide the Remembered service:

• -Sending reminders at your scheduled times via email, SMS, or webhook
• -Authenticating your account and API requests
• -Storing your timezone and theme preferences
• -Maintaining delivery logs so you can review send history

What we do not do

• -We do not sell, share, or rent your data to third parties
• -We do not use tracking cookies or analytics scripts
• -We do not serve advertisements
• -We do not read or analyze the content of your reminders

Third-party services

We use the following services to operate Remembered:

• -Clerk for authentication and user management
• -Resend for sending email reminders
• -Railway for hosting the application and database

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data that passes through their systems.

Cookies

Remembered uses cookies only for authentication (session management via Clerk) and storing your theme preference. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookie services.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway. API keys are stored as SHA-256 hashes, never in plain text. Verification codes for email recipients are similarly hashed. All connections use HTTPS encryption in transit.

Data deletion

You can delete your account at any time from your Settings page. This permanently removes your account, all reminders, delivery logs, and verified emails. This action is irreversible.
